The Anglesey Sea and Surf Centre (ASSC): For those ready for a BCU 5 Star level Training, this is one of the best paddling areas in the British Isles with, easy access to world famous tide races, Atlantic Ocean surf, off shore islands, caves and arches, some of the highest cliffs of mainland UK, remote beaches and inquisitive seals. At the end of the day we were deeply immersed in the pub life of Nigel Dennis's dedicated group of world level expeditioners. These folks are the real deal, and these waters cause most of us from the US to definitely see why the Brits are world level sea kayakers. This is a unique environment, Celtic culture, historic ruins back to the Stone Age, traditional pubs...and real world paddling. We were lodged on the outskirts of Holyhead at Nigel Dennis's Anglesey Sea & Surf Centre.
