Thur- Day 1 :   North End of Jekyll Island to South End of St. Simon Island  (camp on Jekyll Island)

Fri – Day 2:   South End of Jekyll Island to North End of Cumberland Island (camp on Jekyll Island)

Sat – Day 3:   Old Town Fernandina (launch) to South End of Cumberland

Event Description:    As a minimum Level 3 paddle this should be well within your skills range.  Each morning we will be receiving a concise trip plan from the instructor candidates which will include weather, tides, current and any other concerns they might have.  Their goal is to provide a safe yet fun and challenging intermediate to advanced day journey.  One of the candidates goals is to “use” the “presented environment” as a teaching opportunity.  This should provide excellent learning opportunities for all involved.  Those folks who are not certifying can, if they like ,can be considered “practice students” thus gaining free one on one instruction and an inside view of what goes on and what is expected during a certification event.
